Hi, Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I am looking at getting the Giant Revolt 2. I really like it and it should do what I want it too but I am nervous about it having mechanical disc brakes, I have only used hydraulic before and love them- cable brakes seems like something that will need an upgrade and for that price I personally wouldn't want to pay extra for improvements. I know it's personal choice but am I right in thinking mechanical brakes are put on lower spec bikes as a budget option or am I missing something in road bike set ups? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13061711Promotional Marketing Example

Hi, On ride yesterday I noticed the tension in my brakelever lessen and the brakes are not as sharp as they were. I have a kink in the brake cable which I have tried to straighten, however there is still a bend in it. Do you think its the cable causing the problem or do I need to adjust the brakes? If so what's the best way of adjusting it? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. Dear All, A few days ago my milling machine Optimum BF20 Vario started making a pulsing noise similar to interrupt for a moment normal noise after pulsing, then normal, and so on ... At the same time the built-in lamp that receives power from the same source shimmered. Thinking the cause was the speed driver board I bought a new one and today I installed it. When I start the milling machine, being very close to the electronic boards, I hear a very low noise that reminds me eggs to be fried and, moreover, the pulsing behavior remains. Apparently the electronic board speed control is not to blame. In the documentation of the milling machine, Optimum (the distributor) calls the power board "relay board". I identify in it a transformer but I am not able to identify any other components. In the board I can read can read the following: 608BD / 230V 0710300050 P / b ROHS 05/25/2007 Searching the web I didn't found any reference to a plate with those sayings. I did further research with other criteria but was not successful. Will someone, among the distinguished participants in the forum, can give me some clue or guide? Please help. Thanks! Hi, I am hoping someone can help. I am new to Model Engineering and purchased an Amadeal AMA 25LV Milling Machine around 18 months ago to mill parts for Model Helicopters. It has not run for more than around 6hrs in total. Whilst machining an aluminium plate the machine cut out and would not re-start. After checking the obvious I contacted Amadeal as it was still under guarantee and they sent me a new motor and controller board to fit as they were unsure what had caused the problem. I installed both and adjusted the potentiometers as instructed to achieve the correct spindle speeds in high/low gear - this has only been done in the last week as I have been working away from home. The speeds are working fine but the machine has no torque - I can stop the quill at any speed with ease. If I try mill anything taking the very lightest of cuts, after a few minutes the machine trips the RCD in the consumer Unit. Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. Hi, Wondered if anyone could help with this problem which has just developed on my computer. On return from a few days away I noticed that my AVG icon was not shown as active on my laptop. I was also getting a message from my "HP issues" icon that I should turn on my AVG as I had no virus checker active. I then tried to open AVG (both from shortcut and from program files to no avail). I then tried to re-load AVG from the web, but got message that this was not possible due to AVG still being running. I then tried to uninstall my AVG and found that this was not possible either, I got the message "Wait until the program has stopped running before uninstalling. In complete desperation I then tried to restore my computer to how it was a week ago when I did my last back up. This took some time but at the end my computer informed me that a Restore was not possible, due to "certain files not being accessible probably due to anti virus software, please switch this off and try again" So basically I can do nothing, I cannot uninstall my AVG, I cannot run it (though every message I get says it is running, I cannot open the AVG program and I cannot re-install the AVG program. Anybody got any ideas I am getting desperate. I have tried the AVG uninstaller with no luck. How can I fix this? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. I have a repeat job of TIG welding .375" thick 6061 plates to form a water-tight chill plate. All component profiles are water jet cut. Standard weld prep and cleaning is performed. (minus wiping with rag because of lint collecting on rough surfaces) The edge welds go very nicely because the surfaces in the joint are mill finish. The top and bottom welds are usually impure with quite a bit of porosity in the puddle. I can backstep the puddle a little to smooth the puddle but porosity still remains in the weld. This requires machining out the weld and rewelding. The interior cavity is open so there is no pressure build-up. I'm thinking the water-jet finish is causing this. I have SS wire-brushed the surfaces to shiny and still have this problem. The water jet shop cuts alot of steel forgings and SS, as well as composites. Water in this area is high in minerals and iron. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, is there a surface prep that helps? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. Hi, I seem to remember a conversation where numerous people on the board had gearbox issues with their LXT Drill/Driver/Hammer. Starting on Sunday, mine sounds like it has gravel in the "3" speed and it barely spins. Speeds 1 and 2 are OK as far as I can tell. This is really aggravating because it's over a year old and I don't have a leg to stand on with Makita. I really don't want to pay to fix this issue since it's seems to be a design fault. Adding insult to injury, I just bought the white Makita drill/driver thanks to Greg Burnet's killer deal for $119. It's a recon, but the drill appears to be brand new as do the charger and one battery. The second battery is definitely beat up making me wonder if they replace the cells on the recon batteries. The drill seemed to work fine, but I realized the LED light is dead. So now, I have TWO drills that are out of service and I'll have to buy a third one while these are down. What a pain in the neck. Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. Hi, I've bought a set of Quad qhd-1 brakes from ebay, sadly the seller has kinked the hose by wrapping it too tightly. From the images do you think this hose will be okay once fluid is put through it under pressure or is it best to put a new hose on? It's kinked but hasn't made a hole in the hose. Please help. So I'm have brand new to mountain bikes, coming from roadie experience, so disks and hydraulics are totally new to me. My Kili flyer 121 has shimmano hydraulic brakes fitted and they are, or were great! Until I washed it! I like a clean bike after a ride. Wash with muc off, and usually give a good coating of the bike spray afterwards. Gets the water out and looks nice. Problem is, after following my usual routine on this bike (which I've owned for a whole 5 days) and suddenly the brakes don't work! Can pull them right back to the bars, and they squeak and squeal a lot, but do t actually stop the wheels. LBS 100 yards from my house, so over we go. Guy bleeds them, says there fine, but the discs and blocks are contaminated with something and can I leave it with them to take some emery paper to the disks and possibly change the pads!! All I did was clean it!! Is this really such a no no with disks? I didn't even spray it directly on them, must have just got a bit on the disks while I was doing the frame which got into the pads when I rode it around afterwards. Do I have to cover the disks if using the bike spray, or keep it off the MTB altogether?? Surely that should be mentioned on the product? Please help. Thanks!
